Prof. Driscoll has performed research in spine biomechanics in both academic and industry contexts with notable contributions: from the advancement from fundamental research of novel concepts of spine and musculoskeletal biomechanical responses to different load vectors; to the applied research evaluating the impact of medical devices on spine biomechanics; and all the way to the translational research of the conception, validation, and commercialization of his own spine related inventions and simulation platforms.

Overall, over the last 6 years, Prof. Driscoll has authored 21 publications, 8 white paper reports, and 48 peer reviewed conference presentation. Moreover, during this time frame, Prof. Driscoll has co-invented 23 patent applications pertaining to the spine and successfully commercialized 3 spine medical devices currently being used in over 15 countries.

Currently, Prof. Driscoll is head of the Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Laboratory at McGill University which leverages cross-disciplinary platforms and collaborations while studying spine biomechanics to generate and validate novel interpretations of spine stability.
